MEN'S COACHING STAFF

Kyle Milligan  |  Associate Head Coach

Kyle Milligan came to Chapman in the summer of 2024 as the first coaching hire for new Head Coach, Dan Kirkorian.

Milligan joins the Panthers with plenty of SCIAC experience. He spent two years as a student-athlete at Redlands and was the Associate Head Coach at Cal Lutheran for the last two seasons.

Milligan's time at Cal Lutheran directly correlates with the Kingsmen's recent rise. He helped lead Cal Lutheran to a SCIAC Tournament title in 2023 and a regular season title in 2024. The Kingsmen set a program record\ for consecutive wins (19) and their best conference record in 2023-24 while also posting a 3.55 team GPA.

Prior to returning to the SCIAC at Cal Lutheran, Milligan coached at NCAA Division II Chaminade University. He was recognized as one of Silver Waves Media's 50 Impactful Division II Assistant Coaches in 2020 in the middle of his five-year stint.

His coaching career began as a Graduate Assistant at Long Beach State in 2016. He finished his playing career at the University of Redlands, where he appeared in 74 games in three season.

Estevan Ledesma  |  Facilities Coordinator | Assistant Coach

Estevan Ledesma joined Chapman Athletics in October 2023. Prior to his time with the Panthers, Ledesma spent three seasons as an assistant men's basketball coach with Caltech. Coach Ledesma's responsibilities included all aspects of coaching and preparation, including player development, practice and game tactics, and scouting. Under Ledesma's tenure, Caltech posted its top finishes in school history in back-to-back seasons ('19-20', '21-22' seasons).

Ledesma came to Caltech after spending the 2018-19 season as a coaching associate with the Los Angeles Lakers.  During his time in the NBA, he assisted in opponent scouting and on-court player development with a focus on offensive and defensive schemes using SportsCode.

Prior to his role with the Lakers, Ledesma spent four years as an assistant coach at DII Regis University (Colorado) where he worked and played for Hall of Fame Coach Lonnie Porter, Colorado's winningest coach and the 39th winningest coach in NCAA DII coaching history.  Ledesma served as the graduate assistant and head assistant coach during his tenure at Regis.  He was the recruiting coordinator for the southwest and west coast and also assisted in player development, video analysis and scouting, practice and game preparation, and day-to-day operations.  Before playing at Regis, Ledesma was also a two-year starter and team captain at Phoenix College, where his team made an appearance in the NJCAA Final Four with its second best finish in school history.

Originally from Arizona, Ledesma played four years of varsity basketball at Salpointe Catholic, with two conference championships, where he owns records for most assists in a season and in a career.  In addition to his communications major from Regis, he earned a masters of science in organization leadership and management.
